Polyisobutylene（PIB） production and application:

c. It can provide a series of products, from low to ultra high molecular weight series products, to ensure the sustainability of customer product development.
d. Stable supply capacity. Raw materials come from integrated base.

f. Medium and high molecular weight polyisobutylene is often used in adhesives, rubber, chewing gum, petroleum industry, etc.

Polyisobutylene (PIB) characteristics:
a. Good insulation properties, cold flow HMW ≈crosslinked rubber not chem bonds / liquid or plastics under load and chemical inertness.
b. Water blocking, boiling water, completely insoluble in water, gas barrier B200 < HDPE, > LDPE / NR.
c. At room temperature, acid and alkali resistant and insoluble in liquid or gaseous bromine, chlorine, insoluble in methanol, ethyl (di) alcohol, glycerol, acetone, cyclohexanone, methyl acetate / ethyl acetate; soluble in ether, acetic acid Ester, animal and vegetable oils, mineral oil, triphenyl solvent, etc.
d. Keep the elasticity at -50 °C at low temperature, gradually become hard and brittle, and start to flow and decompose at 180 °C.
e. Low molecular weight distribution, high purity, low ash (<100ppm), less volatiles (<1‰).
f. Excellent weather resistance, but UV can cause decomposition, adding carbon black, antioxidants and stabilizers can avoid.
