Amorphous Poly Alpha Olefin(APAO)

Rextac is one of the only companies in the world that can produce advanced amorphous poly alpha olefin (APAO). The predecessor of Rextac’s APAO business is the Huntsman APAO division in the United States. The APAO products of Rextac company have the following unique characteristics. Widely used: can be used in sanitary glue, book binding glue, woodworking coating glue, shoe material assembly glue, etc., in addition to asphalt modification, wire harness filling, plastic masterbatch modification, road marking and so on.

Amorphous Poly Alpha Olefin(APAO) has good compatibility with polyisobutylene, butyl rubber and so on. Because of its low molecular weight, APAO has good high temperature fluidity. In the formulation system with butyl rubber and polyisobutylene as the main body, APAO is usually used in conjunction with low and medium molecular weight polyisobutylene (PIB) and butyl rubber. It can be mixed under normal operating conditions. The operation is simple and the compatibility is good.
