Ethylene Acrylic Acid Copolymer (EAA)

Ethylene acrylic acid copolymer (EAA) is a material with thermoplastic properties and extremely high adhesion.

1、 The characteristics of EAA resin

1. The best choice for aluminum foil bonding.
2. It has excellent direct coating adhesion to paper, glass, metal, especially aluminum, and also has adhesion to other polar materials.
3. Low heat sealing temperature can accelerate the packaging line speed and improve the production efficiency of the packaging line.
4. Resistant to oil, acid, salt, and other chemicals.
5. Excellent thermal adhesive strength and a wide thermal adhesive temperature range (second only to Surlyn).
6. Excellent sealing performance in polluted areas.

2、 Practical application

1.Melt index 1-6, AA content 6-9%

Application: Packaging of meat, poultry, aquatic products, and cheese; Pharmaceutical packaging; Packaging of edible oils, engine oils, and other liquid products; Co extruded with nylon or combined with other substrates for use as a heat sealing layer.

2.Melt index 6-10, AA content 7-10%

Application: Cable shielding composite tape; Pharmaceutical and food packaging; Food and non food small bag packaging used as a heat sealing layer; Used as an adhesive resin for aluminum foil/polyethylene in composite toothpaste tube sheets; Other aluminum-plastic composite structures in the field of packaging applications; Aluminum plastic packaging and small bags for shampoo, toothpaste, small face towels, seasonings, and other non food products; Small food packaging structure; Coating on aluminum foil, vacuum plated metal film or paper as a heat sealing layer or adhesive layer; Cable shielding layer.

3.Melt index 10-20, AA content 9-12%

Application: Plastic modification (acid modification, toughening)

4.Melt index 20-40, AA content 10-15%

Application: Made into powder, it can be sprayed on the surface of materials such as pipes, steel, non-woven clothing, etc., as anti-corrosion or bonding materials.

5.Melt index 40-300, AA content 10-15%

Application: Hot melt adhesive is used for difficult to bond materials (with extremely strong adhesion to metals); Hot melt adhesive film is used for the middle bonding layer of clothing collars.

6.Melt index 200-1200, AA content 16-20%

Application: react with amine and alkali to produce lotion for bonding non-woven fabrics, including polypropylene, polyester, glass, nylon, etc; Aluminum foil base coating; Metal/paper coating.
